With over two decades of dedicated service in the real estate industry, Alexandra Haggarty brings unparalleled experience and a passion for innovation to the table. Since starting her career in 2001 within the First National Real Estate network, she has risen through the ranks—from reception to property management, sales, and now as the Managing Director, Licensee in Charge, and owner of First National Real Estate Maitland in the Lower Hunter Valley.
Alexandra is widely recognised as an industry expert on domestic violence and homelessness. In 2014, she pioneered an Australian-first partnership between a real estate agency and a domestic violence/homelessness service provider. This groundbreaking initiative has successfully housed over 220 Maitland families escaping violence and is now being replicated across New South Wales.
Her expertise and commitment have made her a sought-after speaker at real estate, homelessness, and domestic violence events nationwide. She has collaborated with the REINSW training department to develop high-impact training courses, demonstrating her dedication to education and professional development within our industry.
Elected to the REINSW Property Management Chapter in 2019 and serving as Deputy Chair since 2021, Alexandra also chairs the Domestic Violence Response Subcommittee. In this capacity, she has played a crucial role in representing the industry during negotiations for the Residential Tenancy Act review.
